As I embarked on my Black History tour in 2020, I made it my mission to seek out and visit important African American sites along my tour route of the East Coast, Midwest, West Coast and areas across the South. The impact of this journey was profound and spiritual, connecting me to a past that has too often been silenced and ignored. I quickly realized that these sites are not only significant, but imperative to our understanding of American history.
